Greater Love will be hosting the Showcase on Thursday with the Hoppers and on Saturday with Jeff and Sheri Easter and will also appear on the Breakfast Cruise with Ivan Parker and Roy Webb on Friday morning.

God is soooooo wonderful. Don came out of surgery about 7:30 last night with an overwhelmingly great report. The doctor said “his heart is happy” (talking about Don’s heart). At 8am this morning (the day after surgery), Don was sitting up in a chair joking with the nurses. The doctors and nurses are so amazed at how well he is doing this early in the game. He has needed minimal pain meds but of course we have prayed for protection from pain so we are not surprised. Thank you again for all your prayers. They were definitely felt and heard. Continue to pray for him through his recovery. We love you all.

Our bass singer, Don Leake, is having open heart surgery today at the University of Virginia Hospital. We appreciate your prayers and ask you to continue to pray for him and the family as well as the group as he will obviously be out of commission for a little while. We are confident that God is going to bring him back stronger than ever though.

Don had surgery on Tuesday but unfortunately, even after hours of effort, doctors were not able to do the what they had planned to do and had to abort the procedure. The plan was to let him get back on his feet and bring him back in 2 weeks for another procedure, but today they decided to go forward with the surgery on Monday morning and not wait.

We appreciate all your prayers and ask that you continue to pray for Don and Barbara as well as Greater Love as we continue to be on the road without him. Bass singer, Don Leake, was hospitalized on Thursday, Feb. 11, with very serious heart problems and reluctantly, the group was forced to travel without him this week and until doctors release him. He is stable at this point but will be having pacemaker / defibrilator and ablation surgery on Tuesday morning, February 16. This is a very serious surgery but doctors feel it is the best solution for Don’s condition. We desire your prayers and are believing God for his speedy recovery and return to the road. Thank you for your prayers.

Greater Love has been invited to perform on the NQC Featured Artist Showcase in 2010 on Tuesday at 2pm (East Hall A-B, Hosted by Zane King). Four groups will be chosen from this showcase to appear on the main stage in Freedom Hall.

Our new single, “Peace That Covers All The Pain” went out to radio the middle of February. Please take the opportunity to call and request this song. People need to hear the great message in this song. We appreciate your support.

Greater Love is currently working on a new project with Dean Hopper producing and arranging, as well as Joey Wilson. We are so very excited about this project and anticipate it to be our best project ever. It is a mixture of great quartet style music mixed with some country flavor, all translating the great message of Christ. Some of the writers for this project include David Patillo, Greg Day, Andrae Crouch, Dee Gaskin, Squire Parsons, Rebecca Peck as well as one of gospel music’s great up and coming writers, Tammy Herring. Pray for God’s touch as we endeavor to complete this recording that the message will be stand out to those who need to hear it.
